Every Monday Matters (EMM)
You Matter™ Youth Programs
Trainer Certification

Matt Emerzian, CEO & Founder; Cindy McCann, Executive Director; Carola Secada, Director of Educational Partnerships, Every Monday Matters, Los Angeles, CA

Helping our youth understand how and why they matter might be the biggest contribution you and our out-of-school programs can offer students of all ages. Students discovering what makes them unique, gaining confidence, and experiencing how much they have to offer themselves, each other, their friends, family, and members in the community, and well, the world for that matter, is the very foundation upon which Every Monday Matters' You Matter K-12 Curriculum and Club programs are built.

The Every Monday Matters (EMM) team will walk along side you through the journey of fully understanding the impact and potential of the You Matter™ Youth Programs. You will learn how and why this curriculum was created. Then the team will share the:

-  Program standards and how the curriculum supports: the Four Cs, Social and Emotional Learning, and High Quality Service Learning

- Curriculum Guide that includes information that will aid in understanding the common terms and symbols used throughout the curriculum

- Structure of the program, how the curriculum and lesson plans are designed to work, and how to make it your own and customize activities to best meet the needs of your students

After you learn the fundamentals, you and the rest of your fellow participants will put the curriculum into practice. With the guidance of the EMM team, you will experience first hand the power of the You Matter™ lesson plans, activities and reflections. To top it off, the EMM team will guide you through the process of determining the needs of the youth and community you serve, suggested methods for measuring program effectiveness, and equip you with a You Matter™ Starter Kit to hit the ground running as soon as you get back to your sites.

Join us in creating a new normal, where you, your students and communities act with a deeper understanding of how much and why we matter. It starts with you at www.everymondaymatters.org.

Note: Your successful completion of this workshop makes you qualified to bring this program and training to your location and any associated sites and programs. This is also one of the pre-requisites for pursuing the Every Monday Matters master trainer certification.
